Pakistan’s major steel mills – International Steel, Aisha Steel Mills and Hadeed Pakistan – have increased prices of cold-rolled coils (CRCs) and coated flat steel products by PKR 15,000/t ($54/t), effective 4 Feb’23. In Jan’23, mills had announced four price hikes. Rising global steel and raw material prices along with volatile conversion rates of PKR against USD were the key reasons behind the price hikes.
