China: Steel inventory rises by 15% w-o-w

Steel inventory in China rose by 15% w-o-w to 14.89 mnt as on 3 Feb’23 against 12.91 mnt a week ago.
Stocks of HRCs rose by 13% w-o-w to 2.98 mnt while those of CRCs were up marginally by 2% to 1.43 mnt. Plates’ stocks went up by 12% w-o-w to 1.4 mnt.
Stocks of rebars and wire rods rose sharply by 20% and 17% w-o-w to 7.59 mnt and 1.48 mnt, respectively.
