SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s (BSP’s) blast furnace achieved highest ever monthly production of 535,312 t of hot-metal till 30 Jan’23, surpassing the previous best of 519,819 t in Mar’21. Steel Melting Shop (SMS-3) achieved highest monthly crude steel production of 293,688 t till 30 Jan’23 against the previous best of 286,195 t in Nov’22. Plate mills also set a monthly record of 116,834 t dispatches till 30 Jan’23 surpassing 116,030 t in Jan’11.
