Indonesia plans to produce 695 mnt of coal and eyes exports of 518 mnt in CY’23, the Energy and Mineral Resources minister Arifin Tasrif said. In CY’22, the country achieved 687 mnt of coal production which was above the set target despite the export ban in early CY’22 and heavy rains that disrupted operations. Prices are expected to remain higher in CY’23 amid supply crunch.
