Pakistan: Steel mills raise rebar offers over PKR 25,000/t ($100/t)

Pakistan’s steel majors, Agha, Amreli and Faizaan Steel have raised rebar offers over PKR 25,000/t.
Current offers for G-60 grade rebars (10-12 mm) are at PKR 275,500-277,000/t exw-Punjab ($1097-1105/t), including taxes, effective from 27 Jan’23. Tradable prices lower by PKR 10,000-15,000/t.
Mills have revised its ex-factory prices due to severe supply chain disruptions, a scarcity of scrap, and a sharp increase in the cost of inputs.
