Turkiye: Imported scrap prices up $8/t in recent deal from US

Turkiye’s imported ferrous scrap prices increased significantly in a recent deal by a West Marmara-based steel mill.
The US-origin cargo comprised shredded and HMS (85:15) sold at $430/t and $411/t CFR, respectively, for Feb’22 shipment.
SteelMint’s assessment for US-origin HMS has increased by $8/t d-o-d to $410/t CFR Turkiye.
