China: Steel inventory rises by 12% w-o-w

China’s steel inventory rose by 12% w-o-w to 11.03 mnt as on 20 Jan’23 against 9.85 mnt a week ago.
Stocks of HRCs and CRCs rose by 4% and 6% w-o-w to 2.30 mnt and 1.31 mnt, respectively. Plates stocks went up by 3% w-o-w to 1.13 mnt.
Rebars and wire rods stocks registered a sharp rise of 19% and 17% w-o-w to 5.25 mnt and 1.04 mnt, respectively.
