China: Electricity consumption of ferrous metal smelting industry down nearly 5% y-o-y in CY’22

The electricity consumption of the ferrous metal smelting industry was 609 billion kilowatt (kwh) in CY’22, down 4.8% y-o-y. On the other hand, the electricity consumption of the non-ferrous metal smelting industry was 745.2 billion kwh, an increase of 3.3% on the year, as per data provided by the China Electricity Council.
