India: NINL books 10,500 t of ferrous scrap at recent auction

Tata Steel’s subsidiary, Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd (NINL), conducted an auction for 10,500 t of ferrous scrap on 18 Jan’22 from its Kalinganagar plant in Odisha. As per a latest update –

• 8,000 t of steel and tundish jam received bid at INR 35,500-35,650/t exw.
• 1,500 t of runner skull was booked at INR 37600-37700/t exw.
• 1,000 t of pooled iron chunk was sold at INR 39,950/t exw.
