India: SAIL raises long steel prices by up to INR 1,000/t ($12/t)

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has announced a hike of INR 500-1,000/t ($6-12/t) in its list prices of long steel products, effective today, sources informed SteelMint. Revised prices-

• Rebars (12-32mm, IS1786): INR 59,500-60,000/t ($728-734/t)
• Wire rods (5.5-6 mm, SAE1008): INR 58,000-58,500/t ($709-715/t)
• Prices are landed Mumbai, excluding GST at 18%.
