China’s copper imports rise y-o-y in CY22

China’s copper ores/concentrates imports stood at 25.27 mnt in CY22 (Jan-Dec’22), an 8% increase compared to 23.4 mnt in the CPLY. In Dec’22, 2.1 mnt was imported, down 13% m-o-m from 2.42 mnt in Nov’22.
The country’s imports of unwrought copper and other copper products in CY22 stood at 5.87 mnt, an increase of 6% compared to CPLY. In Dec’22, imports totalled to 0.51 mnt, a 5% m-o-m decline from 0.54 mnt in Nov’22.
