United States, One of the World’s Largest Coal Producers, Produced About 17.4 Million Metric Short Tons (Mmst) Of Coal By The End Of Week 14 (29 Mar’15- 4 Apr’15).
According to EIA’s (US Energy Information Agency) latest report, the production is about 4.7% lower than the last week. Weekly production of the country has declined by 11.8% than the production estimate of the comparable week in 2014.
East of the Mississippi River produced about 7.2 mmst (declined by 5% week on week) and West of the Mississippi River produce totaled to10.2 mmst (dropped by 5% week on week), according to weekly figures released by the EIA, on 9 Apr’15.
The country produced about 246.5 mmst YTD Coal that includes Coking, Non-coking & Anthracite, is about 4% lower when compared to YTD Coal production in 2014.

US Mar’15 Coal output risen by 12.8% as compared to the previous month and about 79 mmst of Coal was produced at end of the month. In first quarter of 2015 the country has produced about 236.5 MnT of Coal.
