MMTC is offering 10,000 MT imported Manganese ore of UMK, South African origin at Visakhapatnam port. The material shall be lumps of size ranging between 6 to 75 mm and shall be sold against 100% advance payment.

Domestic Manganese ore prices following downturn
Country’s largest and government owned Manganese ore producer, MOIL, has cut its Manganese ore prices for the upcoming quarter (April-June) by 10-25%. It has been assessed that prices have been cut against the backdrop of falling Manganese ore prices across the globe.
Dwindling Production of Indian Manganese ore
Indian Manganese ore production declined by 13% in FY15. The figure in FY14 was 2.59 MnT which has been reduced to 2.24 MnT in FY15. Reasons behind this decline was evaluated as decrease in overall production as well as mining restrictions imposed in Odisha since May’14.
