Japan: Nippon Steel Engineering enters into collaboration for carbon capture technology

Japan’s Nippon Steel Engineering has collaborated with Siam Cement Group, Thailand’s largest cement company, to conduct a feasibility study to separate, capture, and reuse carbon dioxide (CO2) from exhaust gases of cement plants in South East Asian countries. The concept of CO2 separation and capture (ESCAP) will reuse methane as a fuel replacing coal.
