Taiwan: Ferrous scrap imports edge down 4% y-o-y in CY22

Taiwan’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 2.79 mnt in CY22, a decline of 4% compared to the last calendar year.
The US continued to be the top exporter at 1.16 mnt, followed by Japan and Australia at 0.56 mnt and 0.18 mnt, respectively.
The country’s ferrous scrap imports in Dec’22 rose by 15% to 237,141 t from 206,675 t in Nov’22.
