Brazil: Manganese ore exports fall sharply by 37% y-o-y in CY22

Brazil’s manganese ore exports dropped by 37% y-o-y to 1.02 mnt in CY22 compared to 1.72 mnt in CY21, as per customs data.
Weak crude steel demand and a depressed real estate market dampened China’s manganese ore demand.
Export volumes dropped by 7% m-o-m to 53,212 t in Dec’22 against 57,408 t in Nov’22.
Meanwhile, silico manganese exports dropped by 32% to 4,184 in Dec’22 compared to Nov’22.
