NMDC has kept Iron ore prices unchanged for Apr’15.
NMDC (National Mineral Development Corporation), India’s largest and state owned Iron ore producer, has kept its prices unchanged for Apr’15. Steel makers were anticipating some cut in Iron ore fines prices looking at global prices, which sank to 10 years low.
However NMDC prefer to keep prices unchanged owing to better dispatches in March 2015.
NMDC, has set a target of 35 MnT Iron ore production for 2015-16. The sale, which would include the inventory, will be about 38 million tonnes during the financial year.

NMDC Iron Ore Exports in Mar’15
Indian iron ore exports fell drastically in FY15, however NMDC remained the largest exporter. NMDC exports were recorded at around 2.5 MnT in FY15 and 0.3 MnT in Mar’15 to Japan via Vizag port in Mar’15.
