Ukraine: Zaporizhstal reports 62% y-o-y decline in CY22 steel output

Ukraine’s Zaporizhstal released its production figures for CY22.

• Steel production dropped by 61.7% y-o-y to 1.49 mnt. In Dec’22, steel output fell by 17.5% m-o-m.
• Pig iron output declined by 54.3% y-o-y to 2.01 mnt in the year. Output edged lower by 1.2% m-o-m in Dec’22.
• Annual production volume of rolled products saw a 60.4% y-o-y decrease to 1.3 mnt. On m-o-m basis, output dropped by 23.8% in Dec’22.
