India: Stainless steel scrap prices largely stable

  • SteelMint’s domestic stainless steel 304 grade scrap prices remained stable at INR 134,000/t ($1,625/t) ex-Delhi. Induction-grade utensil scrap prices moved up by INR 1,000/t ($12/t) to INR 68,000/t ($845/t).
  • Meanwhile, JSL has announced a price hike of INR 2,000/tonne (t) in the 200 series HRCs and CRCs today.
  • Ferro chrome prices are at INR 104,000/t ($1,258/t) ex-Jajpur and LME nickel prices are at $28,900/t.
