India: SAIL raises long steel prices by up to INR 2,500/t ($30/t) for early-Jan’23

Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has raised list prices of rebars by INR 2,500/t ($30/t) and wire rods by INR 2,200/t ($27/t) for early-Jan’23 sales, sources informed SteelMint. Post revision, effective prices stand at-

• Rebar (12-32mm, IS1786): INR 58,000-58,500/t ($700-706/t).
• Wire rods (5.5-6 mm, SAE1008): INR 57,000/t ($688/t).
• Prices are landed Mumbai basis, excluding GST at 18%.
