India: CIL’s coal dispatches up 3.6% y-o-y in Dec’22

Coal India Ltd’s (CIL’s) coal dispatches stood at 62.7 mnt in Dec’22, a rise of 3.6% y-o-y. On a m-o-m basis. dispatches grew by 3.2%. Bharat Coking Coal’s dispatches increased by 19% y-o-y to 3.2 mnt while Central Coalfields saw a growth of 9.8% y-o-y to 6.8 mnt in Dec’22. CIL’s offtake in first eight months of FY23 (1 Apr-31 Dec’22) was at 507.8 mnt, up 5.4% y-o-y.
