Russia: Coal production marginally up in Nov’22 to 40 mnt

Russia’s coal production rose to 40 mnt in Nov’22, up by 2.2% y-o-y and marginally up by 0.93% m-o-m, as per Customs data. The country produced 9.37 mnt of coking coal, up by 3.71% m-o-m, whereas anthracite production fell by 8.15% to 1.81 mnt. In addition, lignite production fell by 8.31% in Nov’22. Russia produced 392 mnt of coal in Jan-Nov’22.
