Amid weak demand from Sponge iron manufacturers, Pellet makers have kept their prices stable.
Odisha based Pellet makers have maintained offers. Barbil Pellet prices for Fe 63% is at INR 6,000/MT (loaded into wagons). Pellet prices in Jamshedpur are at INR 6,000/MT. While in Durgapur slight correction has been noticed in Pellet prices. Rashmi Metaliks is offering Fe 63% Pellets at INR 6,100/MT. Some plants have kept their sales closed as of now or are using Pellets for captive purposes.
In Raipur , Pellet offers are hovering in the range of INR 6,100-6,300/MT (basic) for Fe 63% , though demand continues to remain dull.
Similarly in southern India, Pellet prices are around INR 6,250/MT for Fe 61% Pellets. A market participant shared that falling demand of finished steel continues to pressurize Pellet prices.
