China: Steel billets prices stable, rebars futures edge up d-o-d

Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable d-o-d at RMB 3,730/t ($534/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 23 Dec’22.
Hike in futures and stability in finished steel prices have supported billets prices, SteelMint noted.
China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,005/t ($573/t), a rise of RMB 44/t ($6/t) d-o-d.
