Chinese high carbon ferro chrome imports fell by 11% m-o-m to 230,631 t in Nov’22 compared to 259,969 t in Oct’22. The major exporting countries to China were South Africa at 99,008 t, and Kazakhstan at 70,333 t. The decrease in imports can be attributed to the rise in domestic output of ferro chrome which stood at 526,800 t, up 18% m-o-m in Nov’22. Meanwhile, cumulative imports slid by 13% y-o-y to 2.26 mnt in Jan-Nov’22.
