“It is not that demand is low but Billet buyers have reduced the quantity of Billet being purchased.
If a buyer requires 500 tons of material, it is not being made at one time to avoid any hike in prices.
In the end of last week, market was slightly better. But we are not hopeful of any improvement in either demand or prices in the next couple of days”, said traders in the state of Chhattisgarh.
Offers slipped by Rs 200-500/MT in few of the locations today and some improved demand in Hyderabad resulted in price rise by Rs 500/MT.
