Iran: Domestic billets, rebars prices continue to head north amid DRI supply concerns

Iran’s domestic billets and rebars prices continued to see sharp rise amid a shortage of electricity, and the scarcity of direct reduced iron (DRI) supply in the domestic market, sources informed SteelMint.

• Steel billets prices rose by 3,000 Rial/Kg to 164,500 Rial/Kg as against 19 Dec’22.
• Rebars prices stood at 185,000 Rial/Kg on 21 Dec, an increase of 6,000 Rial/Kg.
