India: DVC signs MoU for coal purchase from SCCL’s Naini block

In a significant move, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), a leading power producer, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to purchase 4.3 mnt of coal per annum from the Singareni Collieries Company Ltd’s (SCCL) Naini coal block. The block is located in Angul, Odisha with 10 mnt per annum capacity but is yet to start the production.
