- South Korean steel mills increased their scrap purchase prices by up to KRW 30,000/t ($23/t) from 20 Dec, as per SteelDaily reports.
- Hyundai Steel (for Incheon and Dangjin plants), SeAh Besteel increased scrap buy prices by KRW 20,000($16/t), and POSCO Steel (for Gyangwang & Pohang works) raised prices by KRW 30,000 ($23/t).
- Mills increased prices on a rising demand for scrap in the domestic market.
