As per the results of e-auction held on 13 Mar’15 declared by MSTC, only 0.1 MnT Iron ore out of the 0.4 MnT offered by private miners was sold.
444,000 MT Iron ore (308,000 MT fines & 136,000 MT lump) was put under the hammer on 13 Mar’15. Out of this only 144,000 MT (136,000 MT fines & 8,000 MT lump) was allotted to the bidders. Major buyer was JSW Steel.
The material was offered by private miners, namely, Mysore Minerals and Veerabhadrappa Sangappa & Company. Lump (Fe 63.16%) was allotted at the base price of INR 2,720/MT. Both base & bid prices for fines (Fe 61.04%) were the same & stood at INR 1,930/MT.
