HR strip (patra) prices surged by INR 900/t ($11/t) in Raipur, and by INR 700/t ($8/t) in Mandi Gobindgarh d-o-d today. Current base grade patra (148-200mm, 2mm thick) prices stand at INR 47,800/t ($578/t) exw-Raipur and INR 48,500/t ($586/t) exw-Mandi. Prices are excluding GST at 18%. Prices remained stable w-o-w in Raipur and marginally down by INR 200/t ($2/t) in Mandi Gobindgarh.
