Steel major POSCO is mulling an increase in hot-rolled (HR) product prices by KRW 50,000/t ($38/t) for Jan’23 contracts. The decision comes following an increase in imported product prices as steel makers across the globe are raising prices. Meanwhile, depleted inventories with end-consumer industries- especially construction and home appliances – might lead to an increase in restocking activities.
