Veerabhadrappa Sangappa and Company (VESCO) scheduled two auctions for the sale of 188,000 t of iron ore (fines and lumps) from its Dharmapuri and Ramanamalai mines, Karnataka on 12 Dec’22. According to sources, only 8,000 t of fines (Fe61.60-63.50%) were booked at a base price of around INR 3,250-3,475/t while rest of the material remained unsold. Prices were inclusive of royalty, DMF, and NMET charges.
