Odisha High Court upholds Order on Mine Auction, Next hearing on 25th

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha High court on Wednesday upheld the interim stay on the state cabinet’s decision to auction all mining leases of major minerals except coal.

A bench of Justices Indrajit Mohanty and Biswanath Mohapatra adjudicated a batch of petitions filed by 13 mining companies, including Odisha Manganese and Minerals Ltd (OMM). The order pronounced the state government to provide a copy of the counter affidavit filed by it to all the petitioners. The next hearing will be held on the 25th of this month.
