Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) has acquired an under-construction power plant of Monnet Power in a bankruptcy resolution for INR 410 crore. The power plant of 1,050 mega watt, was established in 2007 to set up a thermal power plant near Malibrahmani in Angul district of Odisha. JSPL will use the power plant to supply power to its steel plants.
