China: Steel billets prices stable d-o-d, rebar futures edge down

Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable d-o-d for the second consecutive day at RMB 3,630/t ($520/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 7 Dec’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,782/t ($542/t), a decrease of RMB 26/t ($4/t), d-o-d.
