South Korea: Major ports’ scrap arrivals increase by 40,000 t w-o-w

  • South Korea’s major ports reported around 119,145 t of scrap arrivals, up by 40,000 t w-o-w, as per SteelDaily report.
  • DongKuk Steel reported 28,130 t in Incheon while 26,150 t in Dangjin from Australia.
  • On the other hand, Hyundai Steel reported less than 8,015 t of port arrivals,
    similar to last week.
  • POSCO imported 6,000 t in Pohang only, notably no scrap vessels have entered through Gwangyang port.
