SAIL put up 80,000 t of iron ore tailings (10 mm, Fe56-57%-indicative) for auction from Barsua mines, Odisha. SteelMint heard from sources that the entire 80,000 t material were sold at INR 2,450-2,500/t, higher by INR 850-900/t compared to the base price of INR 1,600/t (ex-mines, including royalty, DMF, NMET, and extra premium). The company conducted the auction after a span of over 1 month.
