Ship-breaking melting scrap prices fell further by INR 300/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 36,200/t ex-yard. Scrap suppliers in the region reduced their offers considering the correction in semi-finished steel prices and limited scrap buying enquiries in yesterday, owing to weak sentiments in the spot market.
