India: Around 4,000 t of sponge iron sold to Nepal

Two rakes (3,750 t) of iron ore-based DRI were sold at $385-390/t LTW eastern India, equivalent to $400-405/t CPT Nepal.
With these fresh deals, SteelMint’s price assessment for iron ore-based DRI (FeM 80%, lumps 70%, fines 30%) stands at around $405/t CPT Nepal, up by $5/t w-o-w.
The prices are slightly higher against last week, due to positive trends post-removal of export duties on steel and raw materials.
