Coal India Ltd (CIL) has introduced a 90-day loading validity period for allotted rakes purchased from the e-auctions to be held from 16 Nov’22 onwards. The rakes must be loaded within 90 days from the date of allocation; otherwise its validity will expire, and the EMD will be reimbursed. Notably, before this amendment there was no validity period of the allotted rakes by CIL.
