India: Ferrous scrap imports largely stable with 1% rise m-o-m in Oct’22

India imported 1.07 mnt of total ferrous scrap in Oct’22, out of which 336,644 t was bulk scrap, as per Customs data maintained with SteelMint.
The US continues to be the largest supplier at 309,976 t followed by the UK at 173,695 t and the Netherlands at 65,428 t.
Import volumes in Jan-Oct’22 stood at around 5.16 mnt with 63% growth as compared to 3.17 mnt in CPLY.
