Topworth Steel & Power Private Limited has slashed its Structure prices by INR 400- 800/MT on September 24, 2013. On the other hand its price decrease W-o-W was by INR 1,400-1,600/MT.
An official person in a conversation with SteelMint said that “We are not expecting much improvement in the near future as buying is thin and declining consistently.”
However, light Structure manufacturers based in Raipur keep their offers unchanged but are offering a discount of INR 200-400/MT on quantity basis.
Meanwhile, Ingot prices in Raipur remain unchanged on September 24, 2013. Ingot price decline W-o-W was however by INR 200/MT. Billet prices marginally fell by INR 200/MT from 23rd September'13 and had witnessed a decline of INR 400/MT on W-o-W basis. Market participants expect that the prices of semi-finished will remain firm in near future.
