- SAIL-Durgapur Steel Plant’s (SAIL-DSP’s) auction for 2,500 t of steel grade pig iron on 15 Nov’22 failed to attract participation. The reserve price for the auction was at INR 39,750/t exw.
- The company’s previous two auctions (on 4 Nov and 11 Nov) also did not receive bids.
- Indian pig iron prices remain under pressure on competitive imports and falling steel and scrap prices globally.
