Russia plans to auction over 8 mnt chromium ore deposit in Karelia

Russian federal mineral resource agency Rosnedra plans to auction the subsoil license for the Aganozerskoye chromium ore deposit in Karelia, northwest Russia, by the end of the year, the agency announced last week. According to the company’s estimates, the deposit potentially holds 8.1 mnt of indicated and inferred resources that may be beneficiated by gravity-magnetic or magnetic methods.
