Shipbreaking melting scrap prices declined further by INR 200/t d-o-d in Gujarat’s Alang market, SteelMint assessment shows. HMS (80:20) prices are assessed at INR 36,300/t exy. A sharp fall in semi-finished steel prices at Bhavnagar yesterday and need-based scrap buying due to high prices resulted in suppliers reducing their offers today.
