USA: Steel billets imports fall m-o-m in Sep’22

USA’s steel billets imports fell by 8.5% m-o-m to 213,735 t in Sep’22 from 233,595 t in Aug’22, as per data recently released by customs.
Brazil was the largest exporter with 109,412 t, followed by Mexico and Canada with 38,315 t and 34,550 t respectively.
Total billets imports by the country declined by 35% to 2.74 mnt in Jan-Sep’22 as against 4.21 mnt in the year-ago period.
