Vedanta’s subsidiary, Electrosteel Steels Ltd (ESL), had scheduled an auction for sale of around 60,000 t of iron ore lumps (Fe 61%) on 8 Nov’22 from its Nadidih, BICO and Feegrade mines in Odisha’s Sundargarh district. According to market sources, the auction failed to receive any response. The floor price for the auction was set at INR 5,000/WMT by the company (inclusive of royalty, DMF and NMET charges).
