SteelMint’s bi-weekly domestic pellets (Fe 63%) index, PELLEX, stood at INR 7,800/tonne (t) DAP Raipur, stable on 8 November compared to the last assessment on 4 November, 2022. Trades continue to remain muted on bid-offer disparities and the drop in sponge iron prices.
SteelMint’s daily sponge iron, CDRI index was assessed at INR 32,350/tonne (t) (+ INR 150) exw-Rourkela on 8 November, 2022. The index recovered slightly due to an improvement in bids on rallying steel prices in the northern region. About 2,700 t of transactions were recorded on 8 November as against 3,400 t on 7 November.
