China’s Shanxi province has planned to integrate a total of 620 mnt of coal into its 2023 medium- and long-term contracts, the highest ever in history, as per the term contracts issued by the province. The province produced a total of 965.9 mnt of coal in Jan-Sep’22. In 2021, it produced 1.19 bnt. Shanxi targets to achieve over 1.3 bnt coal output in 2022.
